FACE OFF UFC Fight Night 50 and Bellator 123 Mano a Mano on Sept. 5 in Connecticut

Looks like Sept. 5, 2014 the Indian Reservations in Connecticut will be flooded with Fans, Stars and Legends of Mix Martial Artists.

That’s because Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced its upcoming UFC Fight Night 50 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1 from the Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Ledyard, the same night Spike TV airs its Bellator 123 fight card at Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino in Uncasville.

My guess UFC stacks this card and my guess is they will counter program more and more Bellator events.

Zuffa is beginning to see Bellator as a threat I had a feeling that if Bellator’s PPV was successful Zuffa would step up the heat.

Bellator was in the news earlier this week for its better-than-expected pay-per-view (PPV) buys, with the final tally for Bellator 120: “Rampage vs. King Mo” resting somewhere in the 65-100,000 range.

Does anyone think Bellator should add Flyweights or Strawweights to their roster?
